Kikckboxer Melvin Manhoef squared off with former UFC fighter Dennis Kang on New Year's Eve in Japan at the Saitama Super Arena as part of the DREAM.18 show. The two met in a middleweight bout inside the ring and saw Manhoef finish Kang with a knee to the body in the opening minute to earn his third straight victory.
