Remember how just last week, UFC president Dana White cut Miguel Torres for making a rape joke? And reprimanded Rashad Evans for using the Penn St. child abuse case in trash talk? White said at the time that Torres' remark about a rape van is not funny and disturbing.
Yesterday, White responded to a follower who was clearly trying to bait him by making a prison rape joke. (Click the link above for the uncensored tweet.)
"Dicker410" is inexcusable. He said that White's death would be great, which is a hair shy of a death threat. But in responding to this troll with a joke about prison rape, White lowered himself to Dicker410's level.
Anyone with a profile in MMA has been baited by someone hoping for an explosive response. I'm a lowly writer in the sport, and it happens to me daily. You have to learn not to take the bait and give the troll the response that he or she wants. You definitely have to learn not to respond with jokes about rape.
When asked about a code of conduct for his fighters, White said that sometimes he needs a code of conduct for his actions on Twitter. It's simple, Dana. Don't respond to trolls, and hold yourself to the same standards as your athletes.

CHICAGO -- Fuel TV, a station that's part of the Fox Family of networks, will soon turn into a UFC fan's paradise. According to UFC president Dana White, it will be a must have for any MMA fan. It will air live fights, MMA news, and pre-fight and post-fight coverage.
"Basically, you cannot be a UFC fan and not have Fuel. We're going to have so many live fights and content that MMA fans are going to want," White said at Wednesday's UFC on Fox 2 press conference.
It's fantastic ... if Fuel is part of your cable or satellite package. As soon as the UFC's deal with Fox was announced, I checked my cable guide, and found out that Comcast does not offer Fuel. According to people's complaints on Twitter and Facebook, I was not alone.
White says that will change soon.
"I think that was part of Fox's strategy in signing the UFC. They've gone up 11 percent since we signed the deal with Fox, and they're in 38 million homes."
While White is confident that more cable and satellite providers will add Fuel, it won't hurt for fans to call and politely ask for it.
"I think it's already happening. The announcements that we made have people [expletive] at their cable companies since we made the announcement."

Diego Brandao was fighting with a lot on his mind on Saturday night. The 24-year-old Brazilian knew a win at the Season 14 "Ultimate Fighter Finale" could change his mother's life.
Brandao scored a comeback victory of sorts with a surprising armbar to grab the TUF 14 featherweight title and guaranteed contract with the UFC. He also earned an extra $80,000 for Submission of the Night and Fight of the Night. Now he can take care of his 43-year-old mother back in his hometown Manaus.
"My mission is over. I've been here for three years trying to get a better life for my family," Brandao said during the TUF 14 postfight press conference. "She doesn't know what's going on now. I hope she doesn't have a heart attack. I'm going to go slow (in telling her)."
Brandao said his mother rents a one room apartment and that she often has no food to eat. He will offer a chance to move to the U.S. with him or buy her a house in Manaus. To make ends meet, she cleans houses. Brandao wants to free her from that.
Training out of Albuquerque's Jackson's MMA, Brandao said the UFC contract and extra money will help his career too.
"I'm going to take care of myself from here. I'm going to be a better fighter too," Brandao said. "Sometimes when I've been training I've been thinking of (what's going on back in) Brazil, about the food problem down there. Now I'm going to be focused."
Brandao looks like a great prospect at featherweight. His overall record is a deceiving 14-7. He fought 11 times before the age of 21. With improved stamina and game-planning under the coaching of Greg Jackson, the kid has a chance to be a big star. He hits like a Mack truck.

LAS VEGAS - It was a short and frustrating night for TJ Dillashaw at the Season 14 "Ultimate Fighter Finale." It's one thing to lose. It's another when a fighter feels like he wasn't given the opportunity to push through hard times.
TJ Dillashaw was drilled with two left hands and three hammerfists on the ground and it was over in a matter of seconds as referee Herb Dean decided to stop the fight.
"I wish I could've got to show what I can do and let the fight go on. Usually in fights you see in the UFC ... Frankie Edgar gets the chance to fight through it," Dillashaw said during the TUF 14 postfight press conference. "I'm in good shape. I can push through those things. Obviously, I was coming through a single-leg. They stopped the fight a little early in my opinion. I didn't agree with the stoppage but what are you going to do? You can't argue your way out of it."
Dodson disagreed. He thought it was a valid stoppage. Frankly, he was surprised the whole scenario developed so quickly.
"When I hit him. I felt like I hit him with an open palm. I thought I bitch-slapped him," Dodson said, then apologized for using the terminology. "I thought I slapped him and didn't think I hit him with any real power until I saw him crumble. When I saw him hit the ground I just wanted to jump on him as fast as I could."
- It was a fabulous night for Diego Brandao. Not only did the young Brazilian gain a guaranteed UFC contract, he also banked an extra $80,000 for Submission of the Night and Fight of the Night. The latter was pretty amazing considering the fight against Dennis Bermudez lasted less than one round. Brandao said he wanted to use a significant portion of tonight's winnings to treat kids back in his hometown of Manaus to a special Christmas.
- Dodson got Knockout of the Night and $40,000.
- Dodson addressed himself as a flyweight during the press conference, but quickly added that he wants to fight at both weights. Then he grabbed Brandao's shoulder and said if they need to fight for a title at 145, he'll do that too.
- Brandao was surprised that Bermudez decided to box with him. He expected the former college wrestler to try and get the fight to the ground. Brandao said with 14 years of jiu-jitsu training under his black belt, he was more than comfortable on his back.
- Although he's being compared by some to fellow Manaus-native Jose Aldo Jr., Brandao quickly shot down talk that he's already in contention for the UFC featherweight title. He called himself a kid and pointed out that he just got his job with the UFC. Dodson answered in similar fashion and said he wants to fight as often as possible. He'd even take a fight on the Dec. 30 card back here in Las Vegas.

Michael Bisping just wanted a little more credit following his win over Jason "Mayhem" Miller, so he scolded the media who were saying the American ran out of steam early in the fight.
"Did you see the pace of the fight? Did you see how many punches I was throwing? Any time I stop someone it's because they gassed. I guarantee Jason didn't gas. I guarantee Jason could've gone five rounds," said Bisping.
The Brit said he was the reason Miller was physically and mentally sapped by the middle of the third round.
"Guess what? You might have cardio but when someone's landing big body shots like I was ... kneeing you in the stomach and punching you repeatedly in the face, your cardio gets affected," Bisping said. "Even the best runner would gas. You get Lindford Christie in there and beat the [expletive] out of him, see how fast he runs the 100 meters."
Bisping believes Miller can compete in the UFC, but the 30-year-old MMA veteran needs a lot of work.
"I've got good takedown defense and he took me down. Against someone less experienced, he could've gotten a submission. He gave me a tough first round," Bisping said. "If I were him, I'd go train striking, keep his shape a little bit more when he's standing up and be a little more orthodox."
Because Miller was launching his head each time he threw an overhand right, it almost became a short night for Bisping. He got drilled in the first when the fighter's clashed heads.
"He was throwing it and really committing with his head. I could feel it instantly and a big lump on my head," Bisping said. "When I'm sparring I prefer a really good, high-level boxer. Someone who's really good and technical. I do great against those guys. Someone who's unorthodox, a beginner if you will ... they catch you with shots because they do stupid things that they're not supposed to do. They don't follow the guidelines."
Miller has survived solely on his grappling by fighting in Japan, Strikeforce and some of the minor leagues around the U.S. He definitely needs to dedicate himself to the stand-up game or his stay in the UFC could be very brief.

If only Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira could have gotten himself caught in a choke. As long as he was going to be obstinate about refusing to tap, at least a choke would have allowed him the dignity of his choice without demanding that he pay for it with bone.

Brian Ebersole halted Claude Patrick's win streak by winning a razor-close split decision at UFC 140 in Toronto on Saturday. The judges saw it 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 for Ebersole.
After the last two fights on the card ended in under a minute, this one started a bit more slowly. Ebersole pushed Patrick back to the fence to work a takedown. Ebersole got Patrick to the ground, but Patrick grabbed a guillotine. Ebersole survived, and the two returned to their feet. The first round finished with more clinching, but no serious damage for either fighter.
The pair returned to the clinch in the second round. Neither man could get get an advantage as they pushed into each other until the final 20 seconds of the round. Patrick landed four big strikes, which constituted most of the offense for the round.
After showing good takedown defense for much of the fight, Patrick was finally taken down by Ebersole. He held onto Patrick's back, landing strikes the whole time. The even match continued as Patrick maneuvered Ebersole into a choke, and then Ebersole rolled out. They returned to their feet, and Patrick landed more strikes. As the round came to an end, Patrick stuffed a takedown, then tried for one more choke, but couldn't hold on. The horn to end the round sounded with Ebersole on top of Patrick.
Ebersole, who has been fighting since 2000, said that the guillotine wasn't close to taking him out. "In my experience, the guillotine is a myth," Ebersole said after the bout of a submission that is quite effective.
He now has a record of 49-14-1. Patrick, who was fighting in front of a home crowd, lost for just the second time in his career. He is now 14-2.
